Prompt Writing- 'Cause that is awesome.
Prompt Writing (according to Mr. Google and Yahoo Answers XD XD) are statements that focus on a topic or an issue, followed by questions. The purpose of an essay prompt is to inspire a response in the form of an essay, which will test your writing, reasoning, and analytical skills.
OR, in an easier definition; "it is just an idea, a sample. An idea is to prompt you to write something.If you want to write something but you have no clue on what to write, you use a prompt (an idea) of yours or somebody else. If you want to write a poem you think of something that inspires you (that which inspires you, Becomes your prompt) it prompts you to write on. When you become stuck and no ideas come to you, you are out of prompts"
In short, it is an idea or something that inspires you to write anything. it could be a pencil, a tree, a CD, a bottle of paint, seashells, a phone, a photo, a quote. Basically ANYTHING. And therein lies the fun.
Just think of all the things you could do, write, create and put together from that small point.
Fun, right?
